In May 2018, 30 Red Ranger chicks arrived at Belle Oaks from Meyers Hatchery. We built a chicken tractor designed by John Suscovich to move our chickens around the pasture.
As they move around the land, fresh forage is available for our chickens. They aerate our pasture and add rich nitrogen to the soil. Being moved twice daily gives the growing meat birds a variety of nutrients. We also provide Non-GMO feed from New Country Organics.
Plans for 2019 include the availability of pasture raised chicken for purchase. Please check back in May 2019!
